    Aktuel forskning

Taxonomic studies of pyrenomycetes, especially tropical members of the Xylariaceae (Ascomycota). Currently the following geographical areas are under investigation: Ecuador, Brazilian mata atlantica and central Bahia, Puerto Rico, St. John (U.S. Virgin Islands), Sabah (Malaysia), Brunei, parts of Northern Europe, Far Eastern Russia and Thailand. Other areas of current interest includes the Lasiosphaeriaceae and Hypocreales, fungal biodiversity (Ecuador, Northern Europe and in particular Denmark) and Mycena (Basidiomycota) from Northern Europe. Another major area of interest is the construction of user friendly multientry, computerised keys. See: www.mycokey.com. In the perioid 2009-2013 an atlas project on Danish fruit body forming Basidiomycota (ca. 3000 species) will be carried out in collaboration with MycoKey and the Danish Natural History Museum/Botanical Museum (funded by Aage V. Jensens Naturfond).
